Caption That Cover: Staring Contest, Go!

Join us for another Caption That Cover contest!

Thanks to Nadia, who brought this cover to our attention.

The Song of the Thrush by Christine Pope. A brunette man and woman are standing in front of a castle. They're wearing a bunch of brown leather. The heroine looks asleep and her eyes are close, while the hero stands to the side and stares directly out at the reader.

“Thrush” might be a bad choice of words for a title, but yet, here we are. The hero also seems to not want to break eye contact. What I’m trying to say is that there’s a lot to work with here!

Here are the rules for captioning that cover:

Comment below with your caption! Caption that cover however you wish! You can come up with a new title or tagline. Give us some insight about this “thrush” business. Or tell us what the hero was possibly be saying to put that poor woman to sleep. A winner will be randomly selected at the end of the contest!

The best captioner will receive a $10 bookstore credit to a book retailer of their choosing.

Standard disclaimers apply: We are not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18. It’s possible the cover model’s eyes might follow you around the room. Not sure how thrush is involved, so protect yourself accordingly from both birds and infections. Comments will close Friday December 21, 2018 around noon ET, and a winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Good luck!
